Stag Beetle /Rachel Martin + Sarah Ettestad
About The Collaboration
For this iteration of by the hand, ceramic artist Rachel Martin and illustrator Sarah Ettestad have come together to celebrate nature. A dark rich clay was chosen as the base of the plate and the rim was delicately pinched to form a flower petal texture. It depicts the mighty stag beetle showing off its delicate inner wings which are normally protected by its iridescent armor. This piece embodies the duality of strength and fragility.
