Rocks in the River Plate /Jade Leetz + Lizzie Bilbrey
About The Collaboration
Like the surface of water,
like the grains of rock,
like the ridges of trees,
like the palm of your hand.
This plate was made in collaboration by Jade Leetz and Lizzie Bilbrey
About The Artists
Jade Leetz
Jade Leetz is a ceramic artist, photographer, and landscaper based in Indianapolis. Her work is greatly influenced by the many landscapes she visits and tends to, and lately she has been particularly moved by the interconnectedness of being. When she’s not escaping to the woods or collecting rocks, she spends her time with her hands in the dirt, tending to her garden.
Lizzie Bilbrey
Lizzie Bilbrey is an Indianapolis based graphic designer, painter, paper maker, videographer, and performance artist. Her sense of humor and play, as well as connectedness to the landscape sustains her across a wide breadth of mediums. Currently, she’s making her own natural paints and paper from rocks, minerals, clay, and plant material and volunteering as an Indiana Master Naturalist. She also works with ceramics, performs in a comedy art band Tubbles, and organizes the annual group show and art collective Wet Wet Mud.
